Reuse/Recycling
Options

Although
books are primarily paper, the binding and glue makes them
unacceptable for curbside recycling. They can be accepted at
the Recycling Center. However, a better disposal
option is to get the books reused if appropriate. You can
sell the books to one of the many resale shops around the
area (e.g., Half Price Books). You can also donate them to a
local library, school, or community center. They may choose
to incorporate them into their existing offerings or choose
to include them in a book sale to raise funds. Either
way, the books may find a new home and enjoy a longer
life.
