Cell Phones

Inactive cell phones, batteries and chargers can be donated to various causes where they are reused, recycled, or disposed of properly.

Reuse/Recycling Options

  • Drop-Off Containers - Around the Bellaire-area there are dozens of location within a few miles which have barrels, bins, or boxes displayed in which you can drop your cell phone for recycling/reuse.

    • Whole Foods - 4004 Bellaire Blvd.

    • Radio Shack (Call2Recycle box) - 4809 Bissonnet

    • Home Depot (Call2Recycle box) - 5445 West Loop South

    • Sam's Club (Call2Recycle box) - 5310 South Rice

  • Houston Zoo - Be a Bat Crusader - For each cell phone donated, the Houston Zoo will receive funds from The Wireless Foundation. 100% of the funds raised will be donated to Bat Conservation International, a non-profit organization devoted to conservation, education, and research initiatives. Phones collected will be sold, recycled, or refurbished. Damaged or obsolete phones will be safely recycled in accordance with all applicable environmental guidelines.

  • PAWS Houston - A non-profit organization that serves the needs of low-income pet owners who are living with a terminal illness. PAWS offers comprehensive services designed to enable our clients to keep their animal companions. By helping our clients keep their much-loved pets, we hope to improve their quality of life.
