Fluorescent Light Bulbs

(Including Compact Fluorescents - CFLs)

Fluorescent light bulbs (including CFLs) contain mercury and are NOT accepted at the Debbie Marshall Recycling Center.  The mercury is bad for the environment and should be recycled or disposed of properly.

Standard & Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs

Standard & compact fluorescent light bulbs can be recycled with the City of Houston or with a few Houston-area companies.  Some are listed below for convenience, but you may wish to call ahead to make sure they are still accepting mercury items.
