Latex Paint

Latex paint is NOT accepted at the Debbie Marshall Recycling Center.  Since latex paint is water-based, it is not considered hazardous waste, but it is better recycled than thrown away.

Recycling Options

• Houston's Westpark Recycling Center - drop off center at 5900 Westpark, open Mon-Sat, 9 AM-5 PM (MAP)

• Maybe a neighbor, family member, church or civic group that could make good use of the paint.

Disposal Options

• Solidified latex paint can be put into regular trash.  For small amounts, the paint can be solidified by opening the lid of the can and allowing the paint to dry.  For larger quantities you can solidify the paint by mixing it with kitty litter or sawdust.
